This crack formed over the old railway bed that runs across the lake. The week before we filmed someone had broken their neck on the jump. We used the program "Twixtor" for a couple of the shots, which put it in even more slomo then what we shot it at On a technical note, it was filmed on a Canon 5D Mark II, 2 Canon 2Ti's, and one EX1. Out for a ride on Wisconsin's Lake Winnebago following some snowmobile tracks and came up to a thin spot in the ice. Going too slow and not knowing that the ice was thin or non-existent, I broke through.
